Following your consultation, your custom crown will take two visits to design and place. First, we'll take an impression of your tooth and fit you with a temporary. A skilled ceramist at a trusted dental lab will then create your restoration. At your second visit, Dr. Milfred will remove your temporary and bond your permanent crown over your compromised tooth. Long-lasting, natural-looking crowns require the same care as natural teeth, including regular checkups and hygiene visits.
If your tooth doesn't need a full crown, but requires more restoration than a filling can provide, Dr. Milfred may suggest an inlay or onlay. Like crowns, inlays and onlays restore form and function to compromised teeth and are customized, handmade dental restorations.
